Christmas & New Year

Hello everyone! I hope you all had a super amazing Christmas and ate as much food as possible! This year I had a small Christmas with my Mum, Sister & Gran which was really nice as it was our first Christmas in our new home. I really enjoyed finding new places for the decorations and receiving lovely Christmas cards from our new neighbours - some of which we haven't even met yet! It just shows what a lovely community we have moved to. Our living room is considerably smaller here than our old one and so finding room for the tree was... fun. But obviously you have to have a tree at Christmas so we managed! :)
I think my favourite part of Christmas this year was giving my Mum & Sister their presents. As I have been saving money each month since starting my new job in the summer I was able to buy them both super nice presents, most of which I didn't actually want to give away! But they deserve them and seeing them open them on Christmas morning was completely worth it. :)

I received some really lovely gifts that I am soo grateful for and I just wanted to quickly share them with you! I'm really not boasting or trying to show off they just make me so excited that I had to share them with you!

I won't write loads about them, there's not really much to tell. :)

Silver and Rose Gold Lipsy Watch
Cath Kidston backpack for college :)

Benefit - Groovy kind-a-love
These two are the same thing obviously but the pictures wouldn't sit next to each other for some reason.  I just wanted to show the outside and inside of the tin because its soo cool. Really excited to use this one!

Soap and Glory - The Yule Monty.
Lets just take a moment to appreciate how pretty the bag is to start with! All the products on the right didn't come in the bag, I received some products from relatives which was so nice of them. So I put them all in the bag :) I've also just remembered there was a lip gloss and mascara in with the Yule Monty but I forgot to put them in the picture, oopsy.

I hope you all received lovely gifts and enjoyed Christmas!

New Year

Because it's now the 27th when I'm writing this New Years Eve is obviously around the corner. Hopefully 2014 will be an amazing year for everyone. I personally think that 2014 sounds like a good year, so lets hope it is. It will also be the first proper year of this blog, so I'm excited for what's going to unfold! :)
Have an amazing evening/night whatever your plans are. :)

Little Tiny LUSH Haul

On a recent late night shopping trip (which was meant to be strictly present buying) I popped into LUSH. This is then when a shop assistant saw me and made a bee line towards me, probably because the look on my face said 'I'll literally buy anything'. However I managed to refrain myself from buying the whole Christmas selection *round of applause*... Thank you.
Instead I bought three small things as a little Christmas treat to myself which were all under £5 each (I believe), so would make cute presents to friends or family members.

Snow Fairy Magic Wand

The Snow Fairy Magic Wand has been soo popular this year and nearly every blogger I read has bought one so I thought it was time I tried it myself. I can now see why they rave about them, it smells amazing. Its such a sweet delicate smell and it looks super cute. The idea behind them is that you wave it around in running water and it bubbles up like normal bubble bath. They are also reusable so you can have numerous delicious smelling baths! The fact that its a fairy wand is so cute and unique which made me want it even more. They're just under £5 so they make a really nice small gift for someone or a great stocking filler. I'm yet to actually try this product but I'll be sure to tell you about it once I have :)

Snowman Bath Bomb

The second item I bought was a cute Snowman bath bomb. However mine looks slightly sad as his scarf seems to have turned out a bit funny, but he's still cute. Again I kinda just bought this one because it smelt amazing and it was Christmassy. It smells a bit like coco butter and a mixture of sweeties. I think it was one of the cheapest bath bombs available at £2.50 but that's what made it more tempting. Its such a cute Christmas gift idea and there was a so many more Christmas themed ones there too. I've managed to use this one already and it turned my bath pink so if that doesn't make you want it then I don't know what will :)

FUN

The final but most exciting thing I bought was a FUN block. I'm not entirely sure what it actually is, but it instantly reminded me of PlayDough which I used to love as a child. Although thankfully it doesn't smell like it! The shop assistant explained to me what it actually does and it sounds, ironically, like it could be fun. It's meant for body and hair, although I don't think I'll be first in line to try it on my hair as it literally is like a block of PlayDough. The idea is that you mould it to kill bath time boredom, which to me sounds like it might be more suited to children and there is actually a small child playing with it on the packaging. Whether it's meant for children or not I wanted it. I was told that a small amount goes really far which is the main reason why I bought it. You can use a small amount (like a pea size) to wash most of your body apparently, which really doesn't seem like a lot but if its true its such good value for money. I'll be telling you how I get on with it soon!
10p from every bar sold goes to help the children from the Fukushima disaster too so even more reason to buy one :)

First Ever Post

About me

Hello! My name is Amy and this is my blog. I've wanted to start my own blog since I started reading the likes of Zoella and Sprinkle of Glitter a year ago but never had the courage to do so. It may seem like an easy and simple thing todo but to me this is really out of my comfort zone but at the same time it's something I really want to do. I'm not really an 'out there' kinda person and I never really push myself to do anything different. But even now writing this post I'm excited for the future of my blog.
I live in the UK and I am currently studying level 2 Beauty Therapy at a local city college and I am absolutely loving it. I only recently decided I wanted to study Beauty Therapy but I think it's probably the best decision I've made. I look forward to going to college everyday as the course really interests me and is exactly what I can picture myself doing for my career. I put so much effort into my assignments (homework) which even surprises me as I normally do just enough to get by, which is not a good idea!
I am 18 and live with my Mum and Sister in a house which we are currently completely redecorating which is really nice as we are able to put our own style on every room. I love anything shabby chic, floral or glittery which will probably be reflected a lot in this blog.
I have so many ideas of things I want to post such as hauls, favourite products and a room tour, there might also be a few lifestyle posts thrown in for good balance.
Unfortunately I'm not a computer wizz so the design of this blog might be a bit boring to start with but I'll definitely be working on that to make it my style :)
Phew, this is scary!

Next post: Friday
